Celebrating Your Covenant of Marriage

Your wedding day is more than a celebration; it is the beginning of a covenant—two lives joined before God, family, and friends. I count it a joy and a holy privilege to stand with couples as they make their vows. After 25 years of marriage myself, I know both the delight and the daily grace that marriage requires, and I want your ceremony to reflect who you are and the love that brought you here.

Together we will shape a ceremony that is personal, reverent, and rooted in the beauty of Christian marriage—whether you envision a traditional liturgy, a simple outdoor ceremony under a mountain sky, or something in between. I’ll help you choose readings, prayers, and vows, and I’ll guide the rehearsal so that your day unfolds with peace rather than stress.

My hope is that your guests leave not only having witnessed a beautiful ceremony, but having glimpsed the faithful love of God that makes every faithful love possible.

What you can expect from me

  • A first conversation (in person, by phone, or by video) to get to know you and your story
  • Two planning meetings to craft your ceremony, readings, prayers, and vows
  • A ceremony draft for your review, with room for revisions
  • Guidance on any personal vows, unity rituals, or family involvement you’d like
  • Leadership of your wedding rehearsal, if you’d like
  • Calm, prepared, on-time presence on your wedding day
  • Proper completion and filing of your marriage license per Colorado or Wyoming law
  • Prayer for you as a couple before and after your wedding

What I ask of you

  • Reach out at least 3–6 months before your date (sooner for peak season)
  • Meet with me for planning conversations and, where possible, take part in pre-marriage preparation (strongly encouraged; see below)
  • Share honestly about your hopes for the ceremony and your relationship
  • Obtain your marriage license from your county Clerk & Recorder (Colorado) or County Clerk (Wyoming) and bring it to the rehearsal
  • Provide your venue, timeline, and coordinator contact information
  • Understand that, as a Christian minister, the ceremony will include prayer and Scripture

Pre-marriage preparation

A wedding lasts a day; a marriage is meant to last a lifetime. Over five sessions, we’ll talk honestly about communication, conflict, expectations, family of origin, finances, intimacy, faith, and the everyday rhythms that make a marriage flourish—always in the light of God’s grace and covenant faithfulness. Both partners attend every session, and we begin at least 4 months before your wedding.

Serving Colorado’s Front Range and southern Wyoming; travel beyond by arrangement.

For wedding and pre-marriage preparation honoraria, just reach out and I’ll gladly send you my Ministry Honoraria Guide.
